Couple's charming getaway
The room was spacious and clean, and the kitchenette was a nice touch for late-night snacks. Gilles was super friendly, always eager to help, and his dog Cosette? Absolutely adorable.
It wasn't exactly inexpensive,, but for what we got, it was fair enough.

The place is cozy and the rooms are well furnished. The owner was very nice and his dog was lovely. Good location. There is a wireless network.
The hotel is at the street level, and my room was just facing the street, meaning that if I opened the curtains people driving and walking by could see everything happening inside the room. The knob of the window was broken, so I couldn't open it. The breakfast room is a little bit undersized, it gets easily crowded, and the breakfast itself is a little bit poor for a 80EUR per night stay. Nice place overall, but it should be at least 30% cheaper.

Where it excels and where it fails
The location is excellent! Just steps to the tram. Friendly service from Gilles and his adorable dog Cosette. Breakfast options were fresh and delicious!
The decor is quite dated and lacks modern fiiness. Some noise from traffic could be heard during the night. Light sleepers might want to consider this.

Very friendly English speaking owner. He provides the service you can expect of a four or five star hotel, exelent! Rooms have airconditioning now so this stay is great value for money. Location is great, beach, old city, shopping area; everything at walking distance. The complemantary (free) breakfast is a good nutricious one, not that 'croissant and coffee' at all. Yoghurt, fruit, fresh bread, nespresso machine. If we would return to Nice, this is were we'd stay. (July-11)

Great hospitality and assistance/information from owner. Great free breakfast which is very unusual among other similar rates/level hotel. Confortable beds. Great to have air condition and fully equipped kitchenware in each rooms. Great location!
If noise could trouble you to go to sleep, then choose the room that is not facing the street will be nicer ( not sure if the room fees are different through). However, with ac turning on and window closed, it might not be a problem after all. That's what we did!
